Submit a Soldbuch
Warfare Archives is building a digital research archive documenting original German World War II Soldbücher and the soldiers who carried them. Collectors, historians, and researchers are invited to submit examples from their collections for documentation, study, and possible publication.
To maintain a consistent archival standard across Warfare Archives, all submissions should include both structured historical information and clear image files. The form below collects the written details needed to prepare a standardized article page.
Please complete the submission form as thoroughly as possible. Fields such as the soldier’s name, date and place of birth, branch, units, division, awards, theaters of war, service dates, and a brief historical overview are especially helpful.
Photographs of the Soldbuch and any associated material should be sent separately using the file instructions provided in the right-hand panel. High-resolution scans not edited and in landscape format are strongly preferred.

- Prepare Soldbuch images as high-resolution JPG files or a single ZIP archive.
- Include all pages, even if blank, along with any related documents or photographs.
- Upload or email the images using the instructions provided.
- Submissions will be reviewed before publication on Warfare Archives.
Submission of material does not guarantee publication. Warfare Archives reviews all material for historical value, image clarity, and consistency with the structure of the archive. Contributors may request to be credited by name or remain anonymous.
- Scan every page of the Soldbuch
- Include the front and back cover
- Capture all pages clearly and unedited. Do not crop scans (white space is good)
- Place all images into a single ZIP file and use link to upload
